Audio Story

The following audio clip below is meant to tell a story, ONLY through audio. This was a hiring test for a sound design position, meant to judge a candidate’s ability to tell a story using only sound. Candidates were given a few paragraphs of descriptive text describing a scene. We were then asked to create that scene with audio in a one to two minute .wav file.

Considering the 2 minute maximum time constraint on the test, I was happy with my results. I feel I could have done much better if I could have gone over the two minute limit (my original pass was about 3 1/2 minutes and included a short introduction as well), but considering the circumstances, I am happy with the results. I also received a very positive response from the hiring team for this test, and well, take a listen for yourself! What story does it tell you?
